About Me
I was born and raised just outside Peterborough, Ontario. I grew up on Pigeon Lake and have come back to my roots, living once again on Pigeon Lake and I love it! My goal is to secure a career change in the tech industry and obtain remote employment as a Front-End Developer. I recently received my certificate in Full Stack Coding through Carleton University Bootcamp, Nov 2022. I have been hired on as a Teaching Assistant for the next bootcamp starting in January 2023 and I couldn't be more excited for the opportunity. My front-end skills include HTML5, CSS4, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and Tailwind. MongoDB, GraphQL, MySQL, and NoSQL database languages as well as their applications: Compass, Apollo, and Insomnia, and MERN Stack back end. My current project is an e-commerce react website for a local pet food bank, using MERN stack, Stripe, LinkMink, Apollo, Mongoose, JWTs, Bcrypt, Concurrently, GraphQL, and Tailwind for the CSS. I am also developing a few of my own full stack projects that I have been really excited about getting started. I'm looking forward to combining my creativity and ideas with my technical abilities to produce high-quality projects in the future.
