I am currently a letter carrier with Canada Post. My job entails sortation and prep of mail and parcels for planned route of delivery and then executing delivery in a timely fashion with accuracy. Although I do enjoy the routine, logistical and physical parts of my job, my favorite part of my job is meeting and interacting with my customers and all their pets along the way.
I was initially hired as a Seasonal Customer Service Representative. I joined our Future Leaders program and quickly took on the position as Head CSR. I was then selected to join our Retail Leadership Program and from there assumed Customer Service Supervisor, Merchandising Supervisor and Entertainment Coordinator. I enthusiastically took on extra responsibilities such as fundraisers and department competitions often times taking first place.
Designed and built web pages for various restaurants and businesses, including a web based catalogue. Designed logos, pamphlets, business cards and restaurant menus. Image editing for the web. Networking and also building computer systems.
The Donut Hole was a family run bakery that eventually grew into a breakfast and lunch restaurant. I start out serving coffee and donuts and moved my way through decorating, cooking, and waiting tables. By the end I was managing 3 restaurant locations in Lakefield, Bancroft and Bobcaygeon. I did hiring and balancing books, cash and paying the bills.
